random tidbits of summer.
august is always a busy month for me, hence, my hiatus!
it was my dad's birthday... will's birthday... thai mother's day {the queen's birthday}... will's dad's birthday... my little brother-in-law birthday coming up this weekend and my own at the end of the month. {eeks!} + so so soooo many of our friend's birthdays & weddings in the mix. talk about crrrayzee & being broke. hah!
blame my hiatus on - writer's block. heh. i felt like taking a break... little did i know that the break was more than necesary for me to survive. because through it, i learned the importance of patience, perseverance and self-fulfillment. i'm pretty sure i have a good idea of what complete happiness is, no string attached kind of happiness. & i vow that you all... search for what makes you happy. it feels so good to do a bit of soul searching; it's good for the heart.
birthday is coming up in t-minus 11 days... excited*

these were taken from two weeks ago... & the last five pictures are stolen off jenny's blog. haha. i never had the chance to post them until now. it's definitely making me miss how the weather was so beautiful here. at the moment, it's been raining cats and dogs with thunder, lightning, hail, wind and all... ugh. i feel like i'm stuck in the house wanting nothing but sleep. then again, others might say that snow in the bay area is always a novelty.
so, i am ALMOST finished packing for LA. just got a few last batch of laundry to wash and fold. weeks and months before, i was enthusiastic about visiting back home... but now, i'm feeling a little nostalgic about the trip. i wish will didn't have work and that he could just come with us. since cody and i are flying out tomorrow afternoon, will and i are going on a date tonight! i'm uber excited to finally get some alone time... just us two. :)

the only bad thing about this trip? my digital camera broke RIGHT before entering california adventure. i was so devastated! i really wanted to take as many pictures as i can since it was cody's 1st visit to disneyland. besides, we were going to watch the world of color show. it was so beautiful! i wish i had pictures to show you guys...
anyway, enjoy! i'll post more pics of our socal trip in the next post. :]

Will's birthday was last friday, August 6th. For dinner, we went to eat at our friend's restaurant in the SOMA district of San Francisco. It was literally down the block from the AT&T ball park, so parking was a tough one. The menu was limited but the food was great and affordable. I highly recommend the creekstone steak dish. It was delicious! We even received 40% off because we knew the co-owner/CEO. Thanks Jerrold! If anyone plans on visiting SF or lives here/nearby, give them a try! Their happy hour is from 4:30 - 7:00PM Monday - Friday. Plus, it's bottomless sangria during happy hour! Score!

Afterwards, we went to party it up at Lot 46 located in the beautiful Union Square. Lets just say... the hubby couldn't recall anything that happened after 11PM. Boy oh boy... what a night! No matter how the night ended, I still love and cherish him. Cody and I are very fortunate to have you in our lives. I love you! :)
What I wore: Bellatrix Tunic over H&M black strapless dress. Reason why I did that was because I wanted to wear a strapless dress at the club. [I was so indecisive!] Belt from Nordstrom. Aldo Nelton Wedge. Accessories from Aldo, Nordstrom & Express. Not shown; white studded clutch from H&M, black boyfriend blazer from Nordstrom.
