spent a carefree & relaxing night with my two favorite boys.

family time is so essential.
we went miniature golfing this past monday... & it was cody's 1st time! so cute... he would say that he made a hole in one but in realtity, it took him over 6 strokes. haha. & umm... i won, of course!

helloooo gorgeous! good morning & happy monday to you all :)
here's to my 1st post of may! it's going to be a BUSY month, that's for sure!
so, i took these pictures ever since last week but never got the chance to post them due to laziness. {*cue in "the lazy song" - bruno mars} since i moved out of my parents house {a looong time ago}, my room was cleaned out. all that's left, were the furniture -- the bed, the tv, the desk, etc. but every time i visit my parents, i always find myself refurbishing the room and making it a little more homey.
let's start with the framed chalkboard; it's one of my all time favorite flea market finds. i got such a goooood deal on it & i'm so glad that i went back to purchase it! these days, i have a strong affinity for anything chalkboard related. you'll see what i mean in a few days!
i was asked about how i organize my accessories. well, i like to display them in the silver trays {also flea market finds} ... and the ones i don't really wear, i store them in the small trunks i found at michaels craft store. not so much organized but it'll do for the mean time. & for when i travel, i use my trusted aluminum make-up case to store them. fancy, huh? i must've looked like some make-up guru carrying the case around but i'm far from it. lolol. i swear to you, i have an obsession with accessories ... and nail polish. & since last week, i've added more to the non-stop growing collections. yikes. i think i should stop, well... i know i should stop since i'm sort of limited to what i can pack to bring back home this upcoming friday. :(
& can you tell? i'm finally audacious enough to add some colors into my wardrobe! heh. most of the bright colored pieces are vintage goodies that i've found here in socal. :)
well, this is basically where i ... blog, create, design, & dream -- with passion, with intention, & with love.

'tis was such a perfect day to spend quality time with my codymonster & hubbykins. i was beyond excited to finally see Will last week. gosh, i'm already missing him like crazy. it was well-needed, well-deserved & necessary. felt sooo good to be basking in the blazing heat of the sun. felt so good to be with the ones you love. days like this should last a lifetime.
there must be something in the air. it seems to be meme season again already.
& so here are 15 things you might not know about me;
1. as cliche as it sounds, i've married the man of my dreams. ♥
2. slow walkers & drivers drive me nuts.
3. i secretly wished cody was a girl... he'd make the perfect mini-me. haha
4. you don't want to play me at scrabble. i'm notoriously brutal and competitive.
5. i've been thinking a lot about cognitive bandwidth and the prospect of reducing the number of things i pay attention to in life.
6. i'm a tadbit of a clean-freak & everyone around me knows it... especially at restaurants; i like to stack up the plates as if it were my job to do so.
7. if i see spider anywhere near me, i'd gather up my hoopskirts, scream like a little girl & run from the room. well, not quite... but i really, really don't like them.
8. if it were possible to get paid for doing it, i'd probably take a job reading books.
9. i was born in chonburi, thailand & lived there for 7 years before coming to the states. i miss my childhood flying kites in the open field behind our neighborhood. i'm so proud of my family & myself to have gotten this far in life. i have truly been blessed in my life, much beyond what i could have imagined or deserved.
10. i love motherhood; despite all the hardship, anxieties and sleepless night it brought me. i will forever cherish & appreciate everything all mothers go through for their families.
11. my dream career: forensic pathologist. just because working with cadavers are so much more fun.
12. i should spend an afternoon creating the soundtrack of my life. so when the day some hot shot producer comes up to me with permission to film a tribute of my life story, i'll be prepared. lolol
13. my first name has the word "porn" in it. yes, i'm pretty proud of it.
14. i'm a big foodie. i love food, i love to eat & i can eat. my friends say that i should join an eating contest. hmmm...
15. i had a hard time coming up with the final one, but in the spirit of keeping this interesting, i'll end with this throw-away: if someone offered me the opportunity to become a game show host, i'd take it in a heartbeat!

date night; the last night we had together before i left for LA. we had dinner at ESPETUS CHURRASCARIA - a brazilian steak house in SOMA. their prix fixe menu is offered on an all you can eat system, including the salad bar & a variety of side dishes. the meats are oh sooo delicious! my favorites includes: filet mignon, parmesan crusted pork, lamb shank, and top sirloin. it was simple... at your table is a little card wheel that you turn to indicate to the servers to either: "sim, por favor" - keep the meat coming! or "nao obrigado" - take a little break. get the idea? so if you're a meat lover, you'll definitely love this place! i didn't really save room for desserts... but i ordered the creme brulee all to myself anyway! haha. it's about 90 bucks per person, for dinner + drinks + dessert.
& ohemgee, brrr... it was cold enough to freeze the tail off a brass monkey. what the hell was i thinking wearing a dress without tights?! oh the price of trying to look "good" hahh.

these were taken from two weeks ago... & the last five pictures are stolen off jenny's blog. haha. i never had the chance to post them until now. it's definitely making me miss how the weather was so beautiful here. at the moment, it's been raining cats and dogs with thunder, lightning, hail, wind and all... ugh. i feel like i'm stuck in the house wanting nothing but sleep. then again, others might say that snow in the bay area is always a novelty.
so, i am ALMOST finished packing for LA. just got a few last batch of laundry to wash and fold. weeks and months before, i was enthusiastic about visiting back home... but now, i'm feeling a little nostalgic about the trip. i wish will didn't have work and that he could just come with us. since cody and i are flying out tomorrow afternoon, will and i are going on a date tonight! i'm uber excited to finally get some alone time... just us two. :)

i should start calling this city {san francisco} my home. we've been living here for a little over a year now... & no doubt, it's one of the most beautiful city i've ever lived in. there's always something new to explore & there's always laughter in the air. when i say "home", i am almost always referring to southern california. i guess you could say that i miss it that much.
only 9 days away and i'll be flying down to visit my parents. it makes me excited and sad at the same time; joyous to be seeing my family once again but devastated to be apart from my husband, will, for more than 2 months.
anywho, here are some random pictures of the city that i fell in love with more and more each day... downtown, trolleys, flowers from the backyard, ocean view from twin peaks, etc. etc. oh! & schuberts? cody & i love to go here for desserts. yummmmy. :)

the hot and sunny weather euphoria this past weekend has made SF the envy of our friends on the east coast. i grew up in socal and it definitely reminded me of summer back home.
it was lovely to meet up with the beautiful jenny {jenny-fromtheblock} while she was in town. we went frolicking around downtown and went on a little food adventure with the main squeezes & friends. discovering new places is such a fun experience :)
these pictures were taken yesterday... isn't the view just amazing? you can see the golden gate bridge & ocean beach at the same time. bliss. but as the sun went down, all you wanted to do was bundle up in your favorite cozy sweater. the wind can be pretty brutal. luckily, i had a pair of pants & boots ready in the car! the weather is definitely unpredictable.
these two are my favorites. my loves. my meant to be. my life. &... my everything.

i really love exploring san francisco & getting lost with my little guy. not to mention, the weather has been really nice lately so i can't complain. & then... in about two weeks from tomorrow, i'll be in LA. i can't wait to see my family & friends. i can't wait to eat boiling crab, flemings, sprinkles cupcakes, our favorite sushi places, bottega louie, & so many many many more places. PLUS... my mom's food -- that's the joy of having one of the best cooks in the world :) ...
that aside, i'm also excited to be designing again... i'll be doing some work for one of my bestfriends. it'll remind me of the good ol' days when i used to do nothing BUT graphic designing and spend 24.7 on the computer until a project is done. stressful but addicting!
