a day in downtown. @ 10:13 AM
{forever 21 sheer blouse | madewell vintage flare jeans | dolce vita shearling boots}
a few of you might've seen some of these photos already via instagram { @designerd }. a couple of weeks ago, we decided to take advantage of a mid-week day off to have a much needed family fun-filled day. we hopped onto the muni from our house all the way to downtown (which is like two opposite ends of san francisco), rode on a streetcar and went ice skating. cody did pretty well, despite falling a few times and it being his first time. we had a great time - and that's all that matters.
it seems like the whole holiday seasons crept up on me this year, i haven't even finished my christmas shopping yet. today will be a rather productive day as i need to get many things done before this weekend.
also, i wanted to say thank you for all the amazing, heart-warming and uplifting comments regarding my last post. it meant a lot to me and i'm so lucky to have such wonderful readers. thanks once again...
happy wednesday and keep warm! xx

so it's friday night, hope you all are having a fabulous time- whether it's lounging at home or you're out & about. enjoy your weekend!

weekend jaunt @ 11:44 PM
recap of my past weekend jaunt.
family, food & photography.
my three loves besides fashion, music & art.
i'm savoring every moment of life in every way that i can.
excuse the lack of post, it'll be cody's 3rd birthday tomorrow! i'm hoping the weather will cooperate this weekend & the next.
as i'm laying here... watching him sleep, thinking about how fast he's grown in the 3 short years. he's grown to be such a witty and charming little man. i wonder what the world holds in store for him. what will it be like 5 years, 10 years, 20 years from now? life is so good for him right now... i hope to keep it that way for a long while.

my heart is yours to fill @ 2:12 PM
{1. thrifted cropped lace top; 2. asos dress; 3. h&m purse, 4. thrifted bangles}
'tis was such a perfect day to spend quality time with my codymonster & hubbykins. i was beyond excited to finally see Will last week. gosh, i'm already missing him like crazy. it was well-needed, well-deserved & necessary. felt sooo good to be basking in the blazing heat of the sun. felt so good to be with the ones you love. days like this should last a lifetime.
there must be something in the air. it seems to be meme season again already.
& so here are 15 things you might not know about me;
1. as cliche as it sounds, i've married the man of my dreams. ♥
2. slow walkers & drivers drive me nuts.
3. i secretly wished cody was a girl... he'd make the perfect mini-me. haha
4. you don't want to play me at scrabble. i'm notoriously brutal and competitive.
5. i've been thinking a lot about cognitive bandwidth and the prospect of reducing the number of things i pay attention to in life.
6. i'm a tadbit of a clean-freak & everyone around me knows it... especially at restaurants; i like to stack up the plates as if it were my job to do so.
7. if i see spider anywhere near me, i'd gather up my hoopskirts, scream like a little girl & run from the room. well, not quite... but i really, really don't like them.
8. if it were possible to get paid for doing it, i'd probably take a job reading books.
9. i was born in chonburi, thailand & lived there for 7 years before coming to the states. i miss my childhood flying kites in the open field behind our neighborhood. i'm so proud of my family & myself to have gotten this far in life. i have truly been blessed in my life, much beyond what i could have imagined or deserved.
10. i love motherhood; despite all the hardship, anxieties and sleepless night it brought me. i will forever cherish & appreciate everything all mothers go through for their families.
11. my dream career: forensic pathologist. just because working with cadavers are so much more fun.
12. i should spend an afternoon creating the soundtrack of my life. so when the day some hot shot producer comes up to me with permission to film a tribute of my life story, i'll be prepared. lolol
13. my first name has the word "porn" in it. yes, i'm pretty proud of it.
14. i'm a big foodie. i love food, i love to eat & i can eat. my friends say that i should join an eating contest. hmmm...
15. i had a hard time coming up with the final one, but in the spirit of keeping this interesting, i'll end with this throw-away: if someone offered me the opportunity to become a game show host, i'd take it in a heartbeat!
so... tell me some things about you. :)

nature is imagination itself. @ 1:57 AM
“The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. Some see nature all ridicule and deformity... and some scarce see nature at all. But to the eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself.”
- William Blake
i took these shots last week while we were hiking up to the top of mount davidson on a beaaautiful sunny afternoon. i seriously don't visit the sites around me enough. there are so many places that i never knew existed and i've been living here for over a year!
mount davidson is san francisco's highest hill. soaring above the city at 938 feet, i felt like i was standing on top of the world... away from the city, the busy streets, the noise... etc etc. just imagine this, the whole mountain is laced with many trails and paths to explore and it also happens to be the home of a huuuuge cross at its summit.
the scent of the eucalyptus trees still lingers...
{yes, i'm homesick.}
the last picture was taken in front of our house. it had just stopped raining that day. the moon and the clouds were dancing just for me.
& OH! i wanted to thank you for all the comments and new followers recently! i really appreciate all the love & support. :) thank you thank you!

{all yours} @ 4:22 AM
{minkpink bleeker striped sweater; f21 cape & pants; aldo handbag; kelsi dagger eva 1 ankle boot}
metric - eclipse {all yours} is on repeat tonight.
even with the tease of the sun's warmth, san francisco can often turn right back to its frigid cold & windy days. our weather can be so capricious, so that's why i think capes are such
great pieces to have for layering.
i like mixing black, white & brown together. it's like a root beer float-- root beer and vanilla ice cream; a perfect complement when fused properly. this look is casual & simple... it's the sort of understated & dainty style that might precipitate a series of romantic comedy antics from enthralled admirers; if i had any. smh. hahaha
& thanks love... for your patience in taking these pictures for me! i love you.
ps. i LIVE in these boots! they are the most comfortable pair of boot platforms i've ever worn... so comfortable that i feel like i can take over the world with them.

cozy friday @ 11:11 AM
{accessories; f21 & aldo, f21 scarf & tights, h&m sweater, hinge ruffled cardigan, DIY shorts, trouve; shirt & boots}
When I think of the word “cozy,” other words come to mind: warmth, love, and shared memories. Sweaters have that same meaning for me, too. And, the sweater in this photo is no exception. This photo was taken of me at Rolph-Nicol park, my husband’s favorite childhood park, a place where he felt most at home. Whenever I put on this sweater and catch the wisps of winter’s scent in it, it forever reminds me of home and a cozy day spent with my two main men: my husband and son. I think all sweaters should be this cozy.
Hope you all had a successful & rewarding black friday! I'm running late as I have to pack for LA. I'll try to update as soon as I can. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
xx,
cins
